The Yuma 3:10
The Yuma 3:10 began when Dusty’s friend Sam brought her a hatband and asked for a hat to go with it. The distinctive silhouette was the first design that came to mind. Hand-shaped with a 4 1/2-inch crown and a 3 1/4-inch bound kettle-curl brim, the original was finished in black around Sam’s own hatband. After completing it, Dusty delivered the hat at one of their favorite local juke joints, where they captured a few photos over a beer and a burger. The result blends Old West character with a sharper street-style edge—a design Dusty created to work equally well for men or women. As with Dusty’s handmade hats, The Yuma 3:10 could be commissioned in different materials and colors. The customer-supplied hatband shown here was unique to Sam’s hat; the standard version was offered with a grosgrain ribbon hatband.
